The users may include financial advisors who use OMYEN technologies to develop financial plans for their clients, employees/ retirement plan participants of OMYEN clients who use employee benefit technologies, and public users who use our www.personalfinancialindex.com website. We are proud of our privacy practices and want you to know how we protect this information and use it to service your needs. This Privacy Statement describes how OMYEN may or will collect and handle your personal and non-personal information in connection with your activities with OMYEN, including those related to Internet services controlled by OMYEN. You should read this Privacy Policy before using our services.

How and why we obtain personal information?

OMYEN takes great care to protect personal information about you and when we use it, we do so with respect for your privacy. We may use personal information about you to service and maintain your user account; respond to inquiries from you or your representatives such as a financial advisor; or to fulfill legal and regulatory requirements. OMYEN may collect public and non-public personal information about you from any of the following sources:

  • You or your financial advisor representative via our technology platform (for example, name, zip code, birth date, assets, liabilities, income, and expenses).
  • You or your employer or retirement plan advisor if OMYEN provides its technology and services through them.
  • Other interactions with OMYEN (for example, discussions with our customer service staff, or information you enter into our websites).

How do we protect information about you?

Protecting your information is a serious priority for us. We employ physical, electronic, and procedural controls and review such controls periodically. We restrict access to personal information to only those OMYEN personnel who require it to develop, support, and deliver technology and services to you.


How we share information about you with third parties?
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else. OMYEN does not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for use in marketing their products and services. We may share your personal information with the following entities:
  • Financial services companies who offer our technology services under their brand name for their prospects and clients. For example, such companies may offer OMYEN's Personal Financial Index® (PFI) software under their brand and you use that particular branded instance of PFI.
  • Government agencies, other regulatory bodies and law enforcement officials if required by law.
  • Other organizations, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law (for example, for fraud prevention).
If you are using our technologies through your employer or through your employer appointed retirement plan advisor, we may share with them certain aggregated information. We do NOT share your personal information with your employer. We NEVER sell your information to anyone.

Online Privacy

In addition to controls and safeguards mentioned above, OMYEN has put in place the following online process to protect your information. We use encryption techniques and authentication procedures, among others, to secure your online session and exchange of information with OMYEN systems and to protect it from unauthorized access. We may also place cookies and similar files on your hard drive for purposes such as security, collect your browser type and computer information (non personal information) to provide seamless navigation, and to personalize your experience on our site. The cookies do not collect any information that does not relate to OMYEN service.

Maintenance and Accuracy of Information

Keeping personal information up to date is very important for user experience. OMYEN requires users to maintain their own information. If at any time you feel that our records are inaccurate, or that your information has been used for a purpose other than that intended, please contact our Privacy Officer. Whether you sign up for OMYEN services on your own or an account is setup for you, you are allowed to choose a password. A user can login with a user id (typically email address) and a password. All the information entered by a user travels back and forth with 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This technology is provided by a leading independent provider of internet communication security technology. It can be verified by the seal provided by this vendor at the bottom of every page. All the data is stored in a secured database at two remote data center locations within the US. Both data centers have a high level of physical and electronic security. OMYEN's technical staff also has a limited access to this data based on our access appropriate to role policy. OMYEN is committed to security of your information and periodically reviews the information security controls to prevent your information from being stolen, lost, accessed, copied, used or modified without permission.

You have the right to access the information that we collect about you. You may request at any time that you be given access to view the information, and recommend to us any corrections that should be made. After receiving a request, and subject to any applicable laws preventing OMYEN from providing access to you, we will contact you within five (5) business days to arrange a date and method for providing you with the access you have requested. In most cases we will be able to provide you with this information by telephone if we can verify your identity, otherwise we will request that you appear in person at our offices, at which time a member of our staff will assist you in viewing the requested material.

If you believe that there is an error in the information we have on file about you, you can request, in writing, that our Privacy Officer review and correct the information as necessary. When you file your submission you should include a copy of the updated, correct information. The Privacy Officer will verify the authenticity of the submitted documents, as well as their validity for our purposes prior to updating our records.

Omyen's Privacy and Security Policy does not intend to create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party. OMYEN reserves the right to change this Privacy and Security Statement at any time by posting revisions on the OMYEN Web site.
